Thought-shifting, a powerful and very possible reality. Something I personally value and see as a key part of finding true balance and authentic calm in the body, mind and spirit.
My preferred way to shift my mental and emotional patterns is through prayer, meditation, reflection, journaling and flower remedies.
Flower remedies are most likely a surprise to you. These little-known beauties are filled with flower essences - the energetic properties of flowers at peak bloom. Formulated to match a person’s individual traits and tendencies, these essences can bring equilibrium to many mental and emotional imbalances such as anxiety, depression, fear, shyness, possessiveness, perfectionism, control issues, insecurities, lack of focus, and more. They do this by igniting and unlocking pattern shifting in the brain. Have you heard of neuroplasticity? It is now understood that our brains can actually alter function and reset messages. Though a direct study reviewing flower essences’ direct ability to shift thoughts has to yet to be done. Studies on the impact of their use have been conducted and the greatest outcome seems to align with a reduction in anxiety. I have personally seen incredible alterations in myself, family, friends and clients as a result of these gentle remedies.
Though very underutilized in the US, they can be found in prevalence in Europe and other progressive or simply open countries. Our culture’s discomfort with energetic medicine and therapies is not to our advantage to say the least. Studies are being conducted and efficacy is being found, but we struggle with embracing the bit of mystery that remains. As a result, I often try to describe flower essences and remedies from a more western mindset to bridge the gap of understanding. Thought-shifting is tangible and an easy way to capture the effects of taking a combination of essences, known as a flower remedy.
Flower essences can be made from plants all over the world and they are! I personally resonate best with Dr. Edward Bach’s original 38 essences that provided the documented research into flower essences effectiveness with various personalities. They are the most tried and true in my book and the essences I use in my practice and for myself. I source mine from the continuers of Dr. Bach’s legacy in England out of respect for his work, the guaranteed effectiveness of the essences and the authenticity of my own work.
