Overall Themes
This week’s energy continues to encourage us to pursue meaningful, impactful conversations and cautions us around speaking without a solid connection to our true selves and calling. Emotionality, and even wildness, in words is actually beautiful, but emotionality or wildness coming from a place of grounded internal truth versus chaotic external activation is quite different. Both are present in our world at the moment. What are you going to choose? You’re only responsible for your approach. Step into your discussions, expressions, and proclamations with intention and integrity this week.
Starting on Thursday, we transition into a potent but reflective energy. You may find yourself reacting to or spending time reviewing humanity and yourself, extremes of good and bad, high and low, beauty and horror. Allow yourself to go here. Sit with it all and see what comes up.
This time also welcomes in the solstice, a moment of warmth, self, strong contemplation of identity and purpose, and if embodied well, powerful magnetism. It’s a beautiful time to sink deeply into your full whole personhood. To remember your unique purpose - it’s there, waiting for you to recall. You know it, you just may not trust it. This is why I love systems like astrology and human design. They simply call out what you already know deep deep inside, giving you the confidence and courage (or wake up call) to return and honor it.
This is what these systems did for me. They brought undeniable clarity and showed me, sharply, what my unconscious knew, but my conscious did not want and in a way couldn’t bear to see. It made what my body and spirit understood suddenly understandable in my heart and mind. It translated what had once been confusing and unreachable into something very real and stark. I had been waffling between my intuitive path and others’ desires and expectations. The tension was great, honestly, unbearable. This is a very fresh and tender story that I’m not ready to share in full yet, but last year I broke free of this in a rush of unexpected strength and drive I didnt even know I possessed. Now, barely on the other side, I can still say I don’t know how I fully did it, but I’m here raw and fresh, gently living one day at a time like a baby figuring out its first steps again.
What does it look like to walk this life purely from integrity, purely from how God wired us, purely from heart and spirit and a healthy body?
It’s a rich week.
I will never tire of being in awe of all the connection that is our world. This energy that I am speaking to each week is scheduled. I’m not making it up and I’m not sharing it as a reaction to what’s happening. There are predictable and pre-identified rhythms, seasons, and systems that dictate our energy schedule. What’s going on in the world is the reaction to this energy. I find this a very important differentiation, because it means you are being given an opportunity to respond to an intentional energy soup each week. The world is not a random mess; it’s an orchestrated symphony of movement to shift and shape each unique human towards their wholest self. Free will is involved, so the stride of movement is dictated by you. Choose wisely.
We are all here for different reasons and our responses should reflect that, not what other people tell us to do or even what we think we should do based on the culture we grew up in. Each week is a fresh chance to engage with the universe God created and move a little closer to how we are intended to BE while on this beautiful planet.
Moon Schedule
Watch your body. Observe and note how it reveals what you need to address or resolve as the moon moves through the zones of your body. The moonlight is spotlighting your body and focusing attention. Whatever energy the moon is dancing in will highlight that same energy in the body. You will see either a rise in radiance or an unveiling of imbalance in the zones of the body connected to the earth’s current energy. It’s a free litmus test. If this sounds woo-woo, remember it’s just because you weren’t taught this in depth in school, but we are discussing physics here. Everything on the earth and in the solar system around the earth emits energy/magnetism. This energy/magnetism activates your body at a cellular level. The system of astrology is simply an ancient way of understanding how all this impacts us. An archaic language is used that can, until you are familiar with it, feel foreign and even mystical, but it’s simply labeling and categorizing action and effect, like any other system you’re more accustomed to understanding. June 16th - Moon Moves Into Pisces:
A focus on water in the body can look like a deep need for hydration of the cells and clearing of extracellular water retention. Focus on lymphatic support/movement with massage, walking, swinging in your Chi, sweating in a bath or sauna, and enjoy a shot of whole leaf aloe vera juice in the morning on an empty stomach. Consider adding in potassium-rich foods or supplement over the next two days. You may have a deeper need right now.
June 18th - Moon Moves Into Aries:
Tension, especially around the head and eyes, may arise over these three days. Support relaxation of the muscles, fascia, and blood vessels. Magnesium is my first go-to. Take in capsule form, bathe in magnesium flakes, rub it on the feel as an oil or gel. Saturate yourself in it. Work out. You may need to expend extra energy to allow for sleep and rest. If you’re not in a place to push your body in a workout, open the body up gently through stretching, yoga and breathwork. I love using self-massage tools: theracane for the neck, upper back and along the spine, foam roller for the calves, hamstrings, inner thighs, outer hips and back. Lacrosse ball for the feet, gua sha for the face and neck… have these tools on hand this week. If you need further support to break up tension, apply arnicare gel on the area at bedtime and let it soften and break up the tension as you sleep.
June 21st - Moon Moves Into Taurus:
We move into the lower head and throat region with a focus on your metabolism. Your appetite may be strong right now. If you’re gut microbiome is off, your adrenals are worn out or your blood sugar is imbalanced, then you may experience strong cravings for glucose-rich foods. Ground and fortify yourself through additional foods like walnuts, avocado and root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, zucchini), soften or avoid caffeine, gluten and high fake sugar for these few days. Your thyroid may ask for support and require iodine and other lovely sea minerals. Enjoy raw and fresh seafood and wild fish to bolster and mitigate your thyroid hormone production. If you’re navigating thyroid autoimmunity, you may feel strong fluctuations between hyper and hypo action. Take a moment to acknowledge this and feed yourself as I described above to balance and ease the impact. This is a time to really tune into your body and give it what it needs to rebuild and settle for long-term sustainability.
