From fear to wisdom to clarity.

From now till Wednesday, we are being encouraged to pursue wisdom as we are uniquely wired, and then for the remainder of the week, as our wisdom deepens, clarity will naturally unfold.

Fear is the shadow, the underbelly, the point of tension within all of this right now. It is the baseline, the starting point that pushes us to pursue what we think we want: understanding. Yet, understanding is elusive and eventually lands us in the lap of surrender, where we actually need to be. It’s here in this comforting, yet open space that we can finally receive the nourishment of wisdom. Divine wisdom is what we truly needed all along. It’s what leads us to clarity, that ultimate light and vision. So beautiful… but how do we actually do this? How are you meant to move into and through your fear this week?

In your body, fear and your desire/need to protect yourself are represented by the spleen. You know we always have to bring it back to the body and to your health in this space. The spleen is connected to your body-based intuition; it holds the memory and the experience of your fear and your cellular army of immune protection. As the baseline of this energetic weather, it’s been rearing its head and will continue to prompt us through Sunday. If fear is the starting point that leads us to wisdom, it’s vital that we understand our natural relationship to it. Let’s get specific…

If you’re unfamiliar with your Human Design profile, I highly recommend looking it up to see if your spleen is “defined/filled-in” (natural steadiness/focused/ activated) or “undefined/empty” (sensitive/easily influenced/neutral). I don’t often talk about the sources that guide my weekly energetic emails, but human design is one of the elements that I consider when weaving all the players into the picture. It can give us some profound takeaways around how we are uniquely influenced and impacted by the journey of fear to wisdom to clarity this week.

Soooo let me give you a mini-lesson on yours! Look up your human design chart HERE. Your spleen is the sideways triangle on the far left side of your bodygraph.

If like me, your spleen is undefined (white/empty):

  • You are naturally fearless. Courage is your middle name and your default state. In other words, if you find yourself hesitating, avoiding, or shutting down because of any kind of fear…. it’s not yours. It’s a fear you have absorbed from someone else, and it needs to be released to cultivate your unique form of wisdom.

  • In your original state, your health is naturally very sensitive and easily impacted. It’s your place of vulnerability and, therefore the space you must most adamantly protect. If you are struggling with your health, it comes down to this: the people you are around are taking priority, you are absorbing everyone’s pains and fears, and symptoms like a sponge.

  • You have a gifting that allows you to read others’ bodies, to see the state of their health very clearly, but at the same time, your connection to your own body can become very easily clouded and misconstrued. This means that, despite your intense sensitivity, you can lose sight of your state when you are around others and can find yourself suddenly very unwell based purely on the environment you’ve been soaking in. Others’ bodies affect you deeply. If your gift is not understood and wielded well, your body will be thrown off by how much you pick up on others’ states - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • You need to clear your energy by reviewing the relationships in your life that are weaving fear into your everyday and set yourself free to come to your neutral. Wisdom comes to you when you are able to hear yourself, your body, clearly. This happens when you are open to wisdom downloads that are purely divine and not influenced by others. Who are you listening to? Are you making life choices based on what “wise” people are saying or what your body is saying? You can read everyone else’s bodies so well, but that’s not your first priority. Your body is. Focus on keeping your energy clear first, then from a place of clarity you can share what you see in others and support them, your strong identity has been worked in and boundaries are actively maintained.

If you have a defined spleen:

  • You are naturally very grounded in your body and have the gift of incredible body-based intuition. The fear you face will be based on which gates (numbers) are defined in your chart and will be an emotional state you grow with throughout your life to strengthen your unique form of wisdom.

  • In your original state, you are actually quite sturdy physically, meaning you have a solid constitution. If you are struggling with your health, it comes down to two things: overserving/rescuing others and trying to control others.

  • You have a profound understanding of your own rhythms and needs, but you tend to forget or may not realize that others are not the same as you. What you struggle with is the ability to tune into others as clearly as you are able to tune into yourself. As a result, you unconsciously tend to project and assume others are experiencing the same physical needs or will benefit from the solutions that worked so well for you. You love to help and you will often make this your profession or purpose, because others will long for your sturdiness and praise you for your hero role. You are a superhero. That’s a fact. But, when you make supporting and fixing others your priority, your body suffers, your fears ramp up, and your undefined family, friends, co-workers and lovers amplify it all making it even tougher for you. You start to lose your connection to your internal intuition and your fears affect not only you, but those around you, reducing the beneficial impact I know you wish to provide.

  • You need to return to yourself by detaching from the internal pressure to step in and rescue or solve or fix others’ lives. You’re only called to steward your own. When you care for yourself fully, you bless others with your stability. When you let your fears drive you, others (the undefined) will amplify this, and it will spread. You can be such a gift, such a healing anchor for humanity when you are living with healthy boundaries. Your wisdom is so natural and profound, but it starts with embodiment, not redirection or teaching.

Summary: The more you tune in and energetically enmesh with others’ bodies (undefined) or the more you project and try to solve/fix others’ bodies (defined), the more possibility there is for losing connection with your own intuition, finding yourself swimming in fear, and experiencing illness.

Boundaries are required for health, wisdom, and clarity. Establishing a life that honors your wiring around fear (surrendering to your default make-up) can allow wisdom to flow in naturally without effort. Soaking in this effortless wisdom is what will clear the fog that may be hiding your next life step. Play with this all week. The full moon in Aries tonight may activate you and give you the energy to make changes. Use it! Start honoring what you need to remove or navigate fear, surrender fully to invite in wisdom, and clarity will land.

Feel free to use one of my top 2025 subconscious statements: “I can do it, or God will provide.”

Moon Schedule

October 6th - Full moon in Aries @8:47 PM

Aries rules the head. Let yourself soften your jaw, relax your forehead, ease your neck. This is the time to massage your scalp, gua sha your neck and gently pull on your ear lobes. Heat is strong and you may feel both figuratively and literally your blood boil. You may also just feel restless energy. Let yourself move, but also be cautious with going too hard for the sake of going hard. We slow down the energy of one (aries) by invoking its opposite (libra), and libra encourages balance. Pursue a balanced approach to yourself and others through Wednesday.

October 8th - Moon in Taurus

Taurus rules the thyroid. Speak. Let yourself talk it out. To yourself and if you feel ready, to others. All that aries brings up may need to be expressed. If your tonsils get sore, if your hair starts falling out, if you start to hold on to weight… this is your thyroid asking to be heard. Your throat letting you know it feels repressed. Speak.

October 10th - Moon in Gemini

Gemini rules the lungs. Breathe. You will need a lot of oxygen this week. Set a timer on your phone for every 4 hours to slow down and try a breathing exercise. I love my counting to calm exercise. I’ve done it for years. Inhale for 3 counts and exhale for 4. Grief is the emotion that lives in the lungs. If allergies and difficulty breathing arise, consider looking not just at the physical but also the emotional impact. If you find yourself waking around 4 AM on these nights, I especially encourage you to ask your body what it’s holding on to that needs to be felt fully and closed out.

October 12th - Moon in Cancer

Cancer rules the stomach. How has your digestion felt? If you’ve been stressed and unable to create healthy stomach acid, or your nervous system has struggled to transition from alarm mode to calm mode, or your appetite has felt off, these days will highlight this and bring it to your attention. The stomach is our first line of internal defense against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. We need it strong and active. If you’re feeling symptoms on these days, check in on the health of your digestive system. The stomach is the top of the line for the entire digestive tract!

I was raised to be perfect. To look perfect. To act perfect. To live perfect. There was no space for mistakes, unless it was someone else, but even then I was still expected to respond to their messiness…perfectly. Since, as you can guess, I could and have never been perfect, it was like swimming in a pool trying to keep my head above water when I didn’t know how to swim. I know I’m not alone in this. Even as an adult, now who understands the impossibility, the theory of being perfect at everything, my subconscious - little Jess, still tries. I don’t even notice it most of the time until it’s reflected back to me by others or if I make a big enough mistake that catches me off and shows me the magnitude of my imperfection. This week’s energy is alllll about judgment. Harshness towards ourselves and others around any area of imperfection. And there are a lot of different directions I could take this theme, but I want to talk a bit about a reframe. What if… you as you are now - shadow, light, hurtful, kind, arrogant, humble, selfish, thoughtful, etc. you know the drill - ultimately messy and complex, is actually the exact sort of human perfection that we need? I am all for moving towards wholeness and health, but we cannot really arrive there without embracing the cracks, “mess-ups”, and wayward journeys. Because these very experiences are actually what grows our honesty, our empathy, and our openness. Without them we actually become less whole. We become fake, rigid and closed. Our supposed “imperfections” are actually what lead to true perfection, which is what I would call wholeness of spirit and body, if we are reframing and perhaps reclaiming the term of perfection. So this week I want you to ask yourself, what parts are you denying of yourself for fear they take away from this image of perfection to others and maybe even just to yourself? Can you not only accept these parts of yourself and your journey, but celebrate them, and even further what if you loved on them?

This weekend, starting Thursday, we will move into the energy of depth, which most of you reading this are going to love, because we are just deep human beings. We love going into the depths of humanity. But again, I want to take a specific look at this…because I feel like depth is what has made many of us feel rejected in our lives, specifically for our level of intensity. It is often one of the top reasons we feel alone in life, because the longer we live the more we realize there are not many humans who are willing or honestly can even go to the same depths as you and I. I am sure if I took you to coffee right now, you’d have many stories around different relationships that dissipated or just straight up died, because the other person could not or would not go there with you. Our souls, yours and mine, we crave the deeper, often darker, more honest, and more intimate levels of humanity. It’s part of our nature as artists, as sensitives, as empathic beings.

Allow yourself to honor and cherish your depth this weekend. If you have it, savor community with those who also have the same depth and intensity, and if you don’t have it, consider finding ways to soak in it with your own spirit - journaling, monologuing, playing music, singing, dancing, painting, moving to your own layered and potent rhythms. Marinate in your intensity and know you are exactly who you are meant to be. Your complexity, your wisdom, and your innate richness, I believe, is what keeps our world sane. So, you are loved, whether you feel it this weekend or not. You are appreciated and needed. I see you. I see you. And I know the hurt. I’ve felt it many times too. You are not alone. You are not alone. You are among many, others just like you, reading this very email. We are scattered, but we are here.

I just want to finish by saying, I think that we can all connect and be in flow together, right now. As you read this email, may we tune in energetically, telepathically, frequency-wise to each other and join hands and move forward this week at the deeper layer. Choosing to know that there are other humans like us out in the world moving through life at the level we are, and to just trust it. Choosing to feel loved and hugged and cheered on, as we do the same for our fellows by giving this energy out as well. Perhaps as a result, you’ll run into each other. Perhaps you’ll meet someone new, a rich unexpected soul. Perhaps you’ll connect to someone already in your life on a deeper level simply because you’re holding that energy and you're trusting that it’s there. Anything is possible.

Hold this with me. May we all feel connected and in flow tonight and going forward this week. Love to you, my sweet little family of tender rich spirits.

Moon Schedule

September 29th - Moon in Capricorn

Love your skin and feed your bones and ligaments with collagen. I’m a huge fan of regular collagen as an easily digestible protein source. For my blood type As, stick with wild marine and for my blood type Os pursue grassfed/finished bovine. Capricorn speaks to our sturdiness. The webs, fibers, bones that hold us together. It is a strong part of us, but everything that is strong can only stay strong if t is well cared for and regularly supported. If you have potent or numerous Capricorn placements in your birth chart, you will feel great these next fews days - if you’ve been well supported. If you feel off, weak, lonely, compromised, vulnerable, joints popping and skin looking lack-luster… time to focus in and nourish yourself.

October 1st - Moon Moves Into Aquarius

Your eyes and your blood are the focus right now. How clear are you seeing? Any spots? Any blurriness? Are your whites, white or yellowing? These are signs to pay attention to and to address, especially if they increase over these few days. Rest your eyes often, especially from screens. I love placing my hands, slightly cupped over both eyes, and taking deep full breaths, to reset. Your blood quality and strength will show as well. Anemias from low iron or low B12 or B9 or B6 are the most common to come froward during this time, which will feel like exhaustion, brain fog, and cold extremities. General blood vessel integrity can be compromised too. Fortify yourself with mineral-rich broths and soups. Get yourself that juicy, high-quality burger or fresh wild sushi to add in bee pollen or royal jelly to your daily routine to rebuild the necessary nutrients.

October 4th - Moon Moves Into Pisces

Oh pisces, sweet pisces, you remind us to rest, to flow and be gentle. No pushing or forcing, no aggressive shake-ups, just light, almost invisible shifts and nudges. Improve your body’s lymphatic movement with water - take a bath, swim slowly, soak your feet, gently use the chi swing. Stay well hydrated. Incorporate trace minerals if you’re struggling to hold onto water. Take this time to cultivate your rest mode. How can you slow down? How can you do everything, even action, from a place of rest?

Your astrological map is a powerful tool to understand sources of chronic symptoms, health blocks, your body’s vulnerabilities and strengths, and the best preventative measures to stay strong, youthful, vibrant, and dis-ease free. Heavy. Tender. Open. Exhausted. This is how I would describe myself in 4 words. Steeping in recovery energy today. The earth feels quiet, like after a large hurricane or storm passes through and we are slowly coming out of our homes to survey the damage. So much has come in and out over these past 2 weeks. The whole month of September is meant to re-route us, to bring us back to what is best for our growth and healing. I chose to surrender a big dream right at the beginning of the month and then an unexpected opportunity that affirmed my next steps came through. It was - as my sister says - billboard status. I was praying and asking for billboards, and I got one. What have I been saying all year? Open doors. Close doors.

What were your doors doing? Who or what walked in and out? What was revealed and what was cleared?

Many of you were in your cocoons trying to survive your personal storms, but those of you who shared your highlights with me… wow. There are no words for the intensity, the frustration, the tension, the conflict, the inner turmoil, the awareness, the longings that arose. It was uniquely expressed and different for us all, but whether it was 2-3 weeks of buzzy good or raw pain or a roller coaster of all the above, it was A LOT. So I am sending you all so much love and care right now.

As it would be, this week’s energy is calling us to slooooooow down. To soften and to open up. After the chaos, we can see with more appreciation the little moments of peace and sink in the daily beauties that come our way. It’s time to come back to the body and care for it. Feed it delicious food. Get it into a cozy cuddly bed early. Dress it in ways that ground and comfort you. Let the pieces of all that moved float back down to the ground before trying to whip together the puzzle. It’s been rearranged, and there may even be a brand new plot and new players.

As I write this, I am sitting on my floor on a beautiful merlot and indigo colored rug, in a skirt and my softest sweater, sipping my mason of day-tea. It’s the late afternoon, and as I slowly take a deep breath all the way through my body, I feel the air lift my lungs and fill my belly, then hit my pelvic floor. The exhale sends me back, deeper into the couch I’m leaning up against.

Noticing the moment, like this. Finding joy in each activity. Being present in the body, this is what we must live in till Friday. Then the energy shifts into precision mode. Our motivation is building during this week’s rest. Energy and action will return as the weekend hits, but it won’t be impulsive; it’ll be calculated and strategic, from others and within you.

Desire to grip or figure out or force is not even possible at the moment because I’m so exhausted, which just makes me grateful for the exhaustion. There’s a groundedness to exhaustion that I weirdly enjoy. For anyone else who tends towards higher stress (my fellow blood type As), it can be hard to get to this level of body awareness without being fully run down. I know. I spent most of my late 20s and early 30s thinking I had finally achieved healthy peace and calm, when really I was just so burnt out that I was living from a place of deep exhaustion on the daily. Now, I’m really integrating the concept that true peace, for me, comes from a fully felt and expressed heart and a robust and well-cared-for body, that has lots to give. Pursuing peace means pursuing a life that naturally (without force) creates these two realities. This was my learning from this last week of tension-to-peace energy.

Ironically, life seems to work better when I lean into being fully myself. I am continually amazed at this idea. It’s talked about so much, but it is actually true. If like me, it was pounded into you that you are not acceptable, loved or enough as you are, give it a whirl. Your life will shed and if like me you’re meant to be quite different than you’ve been…. it will all happen, fast, without you doing anything other than being yourself. It will be painful, I won’t lie to you, but once you surrender and allow the waves of release to pass whenever they hit, the fog will slowly clear, and the life you’re intended to live will suddenly emerge like one of the many dreams you’ve had, but never assumed would actually manifest. This is actually real. I started my “experiment” (living truthfully) back in 2023, and I am still walking through it in real time.

What about you? What does true peace mean to you? What came forward this past week? Is it your turn to return to the original you? Are you being reset or are you being reaffirmed? Allow yourself to roll through these thoughts. Friday through Sunday will bring the strategic steps.

Moon Schedule

September 22nd - Moon in Libra

Balance. The body is pulling you back to create homeostasis again. It’s asking for naps, water, a calmer schedule, and fairness in interactions. The kidneys want support. Place your hands over your lower back and send energy, healing, love, prayers for regeneration and reset. They will thank you, and the body will do it.

September 24th - Moon Moves Into Scorpio

You may experience a large and powerful release through the colon as a BM or the bladder as urine. All that was built up last week, if you’re caring for your body and finding balance Mon-Tues, could release on Wednesday and reward you with a healthy “dump”. Any infections or illnesses that the body acknowledged last week and decided it was ready to heal or shed, may clear quickly and easily under this moon. Call it in.

September 26th - Moon Moves Into Sagittarius

Now the blood is pumping! Get your body moving this weekend. Let your circulation flow and send nutrients all throughout to finalize the recovery that this week has initiated. Get your breath, muscles, and spine contracting and expanding, shortening and lengthening. Move, move, move. It’s time!

Your astrological map is a powerful tool to understand sources of chronic symptoms, health blocks, your body’s vulnerabilities and strengths, and the best preventative measures to stay strong, youthful, vibrant, and dis-ease free. Weekly Energetic Weather: Sept 15th - 21st

Overall Themes

Peace from conflict. This is the energetic weather this week, following a very potent week of facing tension.

This is a very personal energy for me. I grew up in a high-conflict family, a home that rarely felt safe or peaceful to me. In a natural, but unhealthy reaction, I threw myself towards the opposite. I strove to build a life that was all “peace”. I defined peace then as simply the absence of tension and conflict. This is not real peace, I have come to discover. Instead, it’s a loss of oxygen. It’s a stifling out of raw humanity. It’s a blank life. My essence died in a way. At the very least, I lost myself. Until 2017. That year I stepped back from life and cocooned harrrrrrd. I did a lot of internal work and began to gently peel back the layers of myself that had been plastered on for safety and survival. It was the catalyst to my next 7 years. Merfleur Wellness was actually the main baby birthed out of this time. That and a renewed sense of self.

Conflict and peace are both emotional states: tension and bliss in the body. Feeling emotion is necessary for physical health. If we’ve learned nothing else from the millennial generation, it’s that our emotional states as children and adults form our physical expression. Trauma is built through emotional experiences that lock into our body and keep circling till we learn how to diffuse them. We MUST FEEL. Avoiding conflict/tension/scary emotions is only going to lead to dis-ease. Enough said, right?

I learned all of this in theory back in 2017, and it made sense, but the true integration… moving from mental to physical… has been, well, layered and slow. I can look back now and see how I started with the more exterior levels of my life, then transitioned into the interior, tender and more vulnerable parts of my life in 2023. The last two years have been the most intense I’ve ever known, as I began to dip my toe into the pool of facing and holding tension around those I most dearly loved. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s been utterly brutal. Simultaneously, it almost felt unstoppable. To stop the natural progression felt like full self-rejection and denial. A snowball effect since the 2017 return to myself.

Now, I see that conflict is not wrong or even bad. In fact, I would say it’s necessary to find true peace in relationships and in life. Without facing the hard and seeing the other side, we get stuck in tension or blocked in a muted state of repression that leads to lack of growth and loss of love.

Since embracing this reality, I’ve started to pause. When I feel that achey grip grow in my chest and rise up to constrict my throat and tighten my jaw… instead of panicking and trying to fix or avoid or diffuse, I hold. I feel it. I breathe. I walk. I swing. I lay on the floor. I cry. I monologue. Whatever I need to do to stay in that energy until I can carry on without shutting it down. Living alongside a living tension is so so raw, you guys. I’m sure you felt that in some way last week, personally or on a global scale. But, listen up, this ability - to live alongside living tension - is what it takes to be able to face and move through conflict with conscious intention so that you don’t lose yourself like I did. So basically, I’ve been retraining my body, mind, and spirit in the art of tension holding, so that I can step into conflict when it’s needed and hold myself steady all the way to the finish line of true peace. It’s been a journey.

True peace comes on the other side of conflict, most of the time. Conflict isn’t always dramatic or painful, but most disagreements, regardless of their intensity level, need to be acknowledged, honored, discussed, and reconciled in a way that respects all parties. Diplomacy at its best. Most of us fall somewhere on the spectrum between unhealthy compromise (people-pleasing to be relieved of tension quicker) and fight-till-death energy (unyielding in order to feel seen and feel alive). How we react could vary depending on the person, topic or value involved. Whatever your default approach to conflict in pursuit of peace is at this present moment, you are being invited to consider how you wish to navigate conflict in the future. It could be tempting to apply this energy towards current world events and what you see in others, but I want to encourage you to bring this home to your heart, in relation to the people you live next to or that live inside your mind on the daily.

Like me, did you jump to the opposite end of the spectrum to feel safe or seen or heard? Take some time this week to soak in this energy and reflect on your defaults and whether you want to continue in this same way. Certain relationships or thoughts or dreams may show up to give you a chance to walk this out.

Here’s a Little Self-Reflection Prompt:

  1. What was your original family’s approach to conflict like? How have you continued or changed your approach in response?

  2. Where are you avoiding to stay safe or exaggerating to be seen?

  3. Where are you muting yourself? Where are you unyielding?

  4. Where are you acting out of deeper hurts?

  5. Is this who you want to be going forward?

  6. What does true peace look like in your relationships? In your body?

  7. What do you need to learn, accept or change to start growing your ability to face conflict for the result of true peace?

  8. Give yourself a hug. No, seriously, do it. Tuck your head and wrap your arms around yourself. You need it this week. This is one way we can walk through tension with self-care and courage. Love to you.

Moon Schedule

September 15th - Moon Moves Into Cancer

Ooooo we are TENDER. Cancer rules the parts of the body that can hold emotion. That tension? Yeah cancer organs are feeeeeling it. Your stomach, your rib cage, your lungs, breasts…basically your whole chest. Nurture your self with light and easy-to-digest foods, lots of warm liquids, like your favorite comfort tea.

September 17th - Moon Moves Into Leo

Hello sunshine. Leo loves and lives by the heart. Support cardiovascular strength with b vitamin rich foods and healthy movement to activate circulation. Papaya is lovely this time of years as a proteolytic enzyme when eaten on an empty stomach. Proteolytic enzymes can keep blood flowing cleanly in the body. Every morning on a Leo Moon day, wake up and place your hand over your heart and say out loud: “I love you, (name)”. Do it. It’s powerful for your subconscious and your heart health.

September 19th - Moon Moves Into Virgo

Virgo gets us INTO the body for comfort and discomfort. Whatever comes forward over these days is giving you very clear insight into the state of your health. Respect what’s being asked for and make shifts or deepen your approach, if you feel amazing!

September 21st - New Moon & Solar Eclipse in Virgo

This is a notable moment. A bookend to the energy started with the full moon in Pisces on Sept 7th. Pisces and Virgo are the north and south node energies of 2025 (also my natural nodes, so a very big year for me!), so it reflects the energy of the whole year, summarized into 2 weeks. What you felt the last 14 days reflects all of 2025 - what you’ve been through and what you’ve yet to move through in the remaining months of this year. It’s also a new start, as is every new moon. A time to refresh, reset, and begin again. Eat lightly. Let your body do its thing. If you naturally find you need less or more sleep, honor that. Don’t fight it or feel guilty about it. Virgo IS the energy of the body, so all you need to do is respect it’s wishes, whatever they may be. Stay in tune with your body and its whispers 5 days before and after September 21st (or you know… for always ;).

Your astrological map is a powerful tool to understand sources of chronic symptoms, health blocks, your body’s vulnerabilities and strengths, and the best preventative measures to stay strong, youthful, vibrant, and dis-ease free.
