Overall Themes

Monday-Tuesday

As we begin this week we review and consider what we learned around the art of detachment. Where are we releasing life? How are we letting go of the way we think our story must go. Are you savoring every little moment in your present day or getting caught up in the swirl of the potential future and all your plans for it? You may or may not have more than one life, but this one is all you have before you right now, and the pressure to make the most of it can be immense.

For dreamers like me, life can feel beautiful and full of potential, right up until that shocking moment when raw 3D life hits hard, then there are two choices. First choice. Label the disappointment as suffering, confirmation of what everyone calls “the reality of a hard world”, choose to lower expectations going forward, and hold onto a semblance of control by staying down and staying “safe”. Second choice. Label the disappointment as a lesson, opportunity, or even a gift that is here to grow and expand you. Though the shock may shake your hope it does not remove it and instead reminds you to loosen your grip and surrender to the rhythm and flow of life. It’s a wake up call, not to take away your love of life, but to enhance and magnify it. I recommend we embrace the latter. The energy of these next two days offers us a final look at this perspective from last week.

If you’ve been head down until today, I invite you to slow down. Take some deep inhales and lasting exhales. Whisper thanks for the moments of pure divine gold that come your way. The taste that lingers on your tongue from your morning tea. The warmth of a shower on your back. The feeling of sinking your head into a clean pillowcase. The start of your car engine. The beat of your heart. The fresh water you sip all day long. The incredible accessibility you have with this phone you’re most likely reading this on. Each moment has a gift for you to enjoy and notice and marvel in. Find them and sit in them.

Wednesday - Sunday

A deep study of chaos, change, and innovation is unfolding on Wednesday. Chaos is a constant in our world, both outside and inside us. To manage it, we create strongholds in our lives, homes, lovers, partners, children, pets, careers. It’s challenging to identify the inner chaos, but all it takes is an abrupt change to one of these beloved strongholds. Suddenly the seemingly quiet interior explodes to reveal the chronic chaos living under the surface. Our comfortable rhythms and structures are violently disrupted, sweeping us off our feet. We panic and start gripping what we have with all our strength or immediately start searching for another to replace it. Our primal nature, our inner being teeters and floats. This is a point of massive unveiling. If we are at home with ourselves, if we have embraced our inner chaos, love purely without conditions, if we trust life and God, if we are whole… we will sail through the storm. If we are not comfortable with ourselves outside of these strongholds, if we have not found comfort and playfulness with our inner chaos, if we love from a place of need and fear, if we control and force our lives, this can feel like destruction instead of revolution.

This is not a judgement. Most of us fall into the latter with at least one of our strongholds, hello… me too. It’s natural. It’s human nature. It’s also called clinging. Clinging to the familiar, to what we hold dear, to what gives us purpose, what makes us feel safe. We all do it and we are all being invited to face some hard truths about who, how, and what we cling to in moments of deep change.

Where have you clung in the past and seen that it only made life more difficult?

Where are you being asked to embrace your inner and outer chaos right now?

How can you release your grip on what you know and love?

Many of us have walked and are still walking through intense seasons of stronghold changes since 2020. Our inner and outer chaos have been held right in front of our noses. It’s been a moment in human history. These themes are highlighted this week, giving us the opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow.

Feel any remaining loss of former strongholds, simmer in the lessons gleaned from comparing the moments where you clung and moments where you released, meditate on the meaning of pure unconditional love, embrace the hope that comes from your emerging innovation. If (or I should say when) a new stronghold change comes forward, choose to see it as a chance to expand and move beyond your last response. Hold it just a little bit looser this time. Let the chaos flow through you. Accept the change. Feel the hope of your new frontier.

Weekly Energetic Weather: April 7th-14th

Overall Themes

Monday-Wednesday

We are closing out the focus on our deepest fear. The lack of control we have over our own bodies, the shock of losing life, losing connection, losing health. Death is there whether we acknowledge it or not. By facing it we can see the gift of each day, relish the freedom we do possess and respect the health we are enjoying in this moment. Fear breeds insecurity, so many of us have been processing where we feel inadequate, unworthy, inept. Whether we show this by being quiet and conflict avoidance or loud and competitive, it’s all a dance to avoid the underlying irritation of our inevitable ending. Where have you been hiding? Where have you been pushing? Why? Where can you trust your body more? It is here to survive whatever shock or unexpected challenge life brings and it is enough, enough to travel through even the deepest fear, death. If it can handle this, it can handle anything.

Your gallbladder is the organ that can show how you’re navigating these energies. Symptoms of gallbladder imbalance include nausea, bloating, constipation, poor dietary fat absorption, poor eyesight, recall issues, dysbiosis, detox dysfunction, pain under the right ribcage, skin eruptions, hives and rashes, swelling of the face and around the upper eye region. Your body is asking you to face, process and release your fear of death and move from a place of cowardice or restless reactivity into gracious grounded authenticity – knowing who you are, what your body is capable of and stepping onto the unique path God has continually put in front of you over the years.

Thursday - Monday

In the second half of this week, we navigate new beginnings. Over the last few months or even years, much has shifted, cleared and changed for us and truly humanity as a whole. Yet, where are we still holding on? Where are we still avoiding? Looking out at an unknown future, untrodden and fresh, can be exciting, terrifying or – simply hold potential. We may find that we lean towards optimism or pessimism, but both of these states are forms of expectation.

As Wednesday begins, let yourself consider a life of detachment, without putting a negative or positive label on it. Instead, put your focus on life in this moment, right in front of you, in your body. What are you feeling? Joy, grief, pleasure, pain? Whatever it is, FEEL it. Sit in it fully. Savor it, yes, even the seemingly unbearable, go as far as you can. Sink your teeth in and choose to stay with it.

This is how we’re present with raw reality. I recently learned that detachment is not about being void of emotion or care. It’s in fact the opposite – intense commitment to being in the emotion, the experience, the energy of NOW and giving little attention to what we think has to come in the future. Detachment is the release of expectation, remaining open to experiencing whatever comes in full. This is also what I would consider true vulnerability.

Be in the moment of today and the reality of being alive right now, whatever that holds. This is how we relish life in all its forms and move forward on the new path unfolding before us this month.

Moon Schedule

April 7th - Moon moves into Leo:

  • Body Zone 5: Gallbladder, heart and back, forearms and wrists

  • Mercury goes DIRECT in Pisces! Artistic creativity will be at an all time high today and for some time after because mercury will be flying free in Pisces. Yay for full flow and clarity once more.

  • A day of physical coldness due to Saturn action with Venus, so keep your feet and extremities warm. Wear socks. Enjoy warming drinks, like ginger root tea and firey condiments like horseradish or wasabi to keep the blood flowing all the way out to the extremities. Hot showers, baths, foot soaks… warm blankets.

  • This is when all the lessons of the last handful of weeks will really start to integrate.

April 9th - Moon moves into Virgo:

  • Body Zone 6: Digestive and detox systems, immune function, nervous system, septically sympathetic (fight or flight)

  • April 10th: The pancreas may be extra sensitive, so blood sugar will not be as stable. Eat regularly to avoid tanking in energy, getting mentally spacey or becoming shaky and cranky.

April 11th - Moon moves into Libra:

  • Body Zone 7: Kidneys, lungs and inhale, shoulders, arms, wrists and hands, speech centers of the brain

  • April 12th:

    • Full moon in Libra (Libra/Aries axis) - strong focus on kidneys - water holding could be very high during this time, take potassium & stay hydrated,

    • Venus turns direct and will deeply affect your lymphatic system, support flow in the body with gentle movement, massage, food, water, herbs, and essences

  • April 13th: If you’re feeling low in energy today it may be related to reduced red blood cell vitality - enjoy some pasture-raised beef or take a quality iron supplement.

April 14th - Moon moves into Scorpio:

  • Body Zone 8: Excretion, colon, bladder, sexual and fertility organs, sweat glands, nose and throat

  • Relax and let the body release. Savor and pour into your passions, let your body, heart, and mind linger in love and creation!

Your astrological map is a powerful tool to understand sources of chronic symptoms, health blocks, your body’s vulnerabilities and strengths, and the best preventative measures to stay strong, youthful, vibrant, and dis-ease free. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for the Sensitive & Chronically Ill Artist

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

The healing nap. HBOT is one of the top, if not the most, potent and deeply regenerative modalities available to humans at this point in time. A painless and technically simple experience, its mechanism is to reset the body at the cellular level allowing imbalances such as brain inflammation, toxicity, chronic illnesses, and autoimmunity to dynamically improve, if not resolve.

My Personal Experience

My own health journey has been life-long, but the last 3 years have seen the most profound recovery and change. I owe a good portion of my upgraded health to HBOT.

I believe we all have one symptom that has our greatest attention. It’s usually something that activates our insecurities or fears and is what tends to keep us seeking and pursuing support and healing. I call this your north star. For me, my north star was my hormonal health until 2018 when a small spot began to develop under my left eye.  Over the next 7 years this spot slowly grew and then eventually progressed so much that it became a point of great concern. By 2022, I had tried numerous topical solutions, considered all the emotional elements, started dramatically clearing mold toxicity, worked with a holistic dermatologist, spoke to natural skin experts, and even went to an angel healer. Nothing seemed to stop the growth and no one seemed to be able to identify it. The theories were all over the place, but I started really connecting it to mold exposure and emotional pain. I had heard of HBOT, but it didn’t become a solution in my mind until my dermatologist mentioned it as a possible support. The more I looked into it, the more I knew my entire body needed this therapy. I have now completed 3 rounds, all different, and have seen dramatic shifts from each.

I love using my body to experiment and research healing modalities before recommending them. I’ve been directing clients to HBOT since 2023, offering my recommendations to get the best results and, more importantly, to reduce Herxheimer reactions in sensitive bodies like mine that are navigating multiple layers of chronic illness. HBOT can transform you, but if not done with awareness it can also create flares that prevent you from continuing its use. This is my magic – guiding sensitive, weary, overburdened bodies through potent healing tools, so they can see deep change without suffering further!

The Science

HBOT has been around since the 1660s, but became more well-known as a recovery treatment in the 1950’s. It has numerous clinical trials and papers to back up its effectiveness and is considered soundly safety.

Let’s talk about how it works. Simply put, you climb into a spacious container that feels like a submarine and rest for 60-120 minutes while breathing pure oxygen. The atmospheric pressure is slowly increased while you’re in the chamber to improve your ability to absorb and carry the oxygen throughout your body. The beginning and ending of the session feels like flight take-off and landing, where you may have the desire to pop your ears and yawn. Oxygen is what the body uses to activate, heal and regenerate. You normally intake around 20-21% oxygen from your daily inhales and exhales, so this therapy empowers your body with the juice to hyper-speed healing processes. When used correctly, this can save you time, money and years of pain!

The Body Impact

HBOT is a systemic therapy, meaning that it doesn’t focus on one area, it has an overall effect. Oxygen is a key component to every cellular function, in every organ throughout your body. By maximizing its presence at the cellular level, we are touching everything.

Your body is brilliant and has a to do list of all the work it needs to address, manage, and also delay, to keep you alive. By giving it a tool like HBOT you are offering it the chance to check some very vital items off its list. The downstream effect is that anything that was backburnered now comes forward and you can start to heal at levels you would not have reached for many years without HBOT.

An important reminder, if your to do list is short then you will see amazing results very quickly. If your to do list is long, you will see recovery in the areas your body prioritizes (which may not be your desired areas, but remember the body knows best) and if you continue you’ll see the relief of the rest of the list over a longer period of time, but again still at a much faster and more efficient rate than without HBOT.

I personally experienced:

  • massive positive shifts in my gut microbiome

  • greatly improved brain clarity and recall

  • increased stability in my nervous system

  • a more resilient immune system

  • activation of my ovaries & improvement of my menstrual cycle

  • elevated hormone production & libido

  • clearance of mycotoxins

  • weight loss back to my authentic levels

  • reduced swelling

  • strong increase in energy

The Emotional Impact

This was an unexpected result. The first time I did HBOT, I noticed a welling in my chest and eventually I found myself crying in my sessions. By my second round, I was expecting the emotional release and opened up to it even more. I observed a sense of freedom and deep grief identification, not only during the session but afterward and between sessions. It was never overwhelming. It was freeing. By my third round I was leaving my sessions full of energy and joy!

I connect this to the Traditional Chinese Medicine understanding of organ function and Dr. Emoto’s theory of emotional impact and storage in water. The lungs absorb potent pure oxygen, which will activate the lung tissue and cells and ignite a release of any stored emotion. Water holds emotion and the lungs are made up of water-rich cells and water-composed interstitial space. The lungs are connected to the emotion of grief in TCM, so when we infuse the lungs with oxygen under pressure, it’s no surprise that with the activation comes the release of water from these cells and tissues, carrying with it the emotion of grief. Additional emotions may be released as other organs, such as your brain, where trauma lives in your amygdala, are also infused with healing oxygen. I believe it’s very important that you are prepared for this possibility and enter the HBOT round with a team to turn to if you need emotional support or nervous system regulation.

After doing multiple rounds and clearing many layers of stored grief and providing space for my body to rebound, I began experiencing a pulse of energy through my body. This energy uplifted my spirit and gave a lightness and joy that I had not felt in many years. I believe this is a strong part of why HBOT gives full body resets, because it addresses both biological and emotional build-up.

HBOT for Everyone

I am obviously a strong proponent for this modality and in my dream world everyone has a chamber in their home. That being said, it is currently a more exclusive investment, but I see it as beyond worth it in the long-term. If you have the means or the insurance coverage, do it. I am not a licensed doctor, so these are simply my recommendations based on clinical research, personal and client experiences, and intuitive pattern recognition. Confirm with your preferred doctor as needed.

Here are symptoms or body states for which I would highly recommend HBOT:

  • Mold, Lead, Asbestos, Glyphosate & Other Pesticide Toxicity

  • Radiation Sensitivity & Recovery

  • Chronic Viruses

  • Lyme & Co-Infections

  • Mast Cell Activation

  • Cancer, especially skin

  • Autoimmune Activity

  • Allergies

  • Stubborn Dysbiosis – multiple pathogens in the gut

  • Brain Fog

  • Lack of Focus

  • Memory Struggles

  • Mood Imbalances

  • Poor Circulation

  • Slow Healing

  • Surgery Recovery

  • Skin Regeneration

  • Hormonal Imbalances

  • PMDD

  • Infertility

  • Pre-Mature Aging

  • PTSD

How to Incorporate for a Sensitive or Chronically Ill Body

It’s important to understand the state of your body before jumping into a chamber. This is why I do not have my clients start with this therapy till I have them in a certain place of stability. This looks different for everyone, but you should feel very prepared and supported to handle whatever response your body, mind or heart has to HBOT.

Begin slowly. I do not recommend the standard protocol you’ll hear from most experts around HBOT. Frequent and longer is not necessarily better when you are dealing with a sensitive body and many layers of imbalance. I often start my clients off on 1x a week for 60 minutes max and we observe how their body processes it over the next 7 days. At times, we slow down even further if their body is clearing rapidly.

I always include specific supplements to support the increased antioxidant need and according to their lab work, astrological chart, and lifestyle we step in with heavy weights, like glandulars or hormone therapy, where needed. Again, I cannot say this enough. My approach is so individual.

Once your body is thriving, gently increasing the frequency up to 5x a week and the length to 1.5-2 hours a session is possible. It may not happen right away though.

Most rounds are 10-30 HBOT sessions and depending on your starting point you can expect to see profound results after 1-3 rounds.

There are ways to enhance and play with the results by pairing HBOT with other modalities like light and heat therapy. I’ll share more about what I’ve done personally as an example below.

Starting HBOT

Choose your HBOT Style

You can enjoy HBOT a few different ways. It is available in medical facilities, bio-hacking optimizing centers, as a home-delivered rental or a permanent home-installed unit. I recommend trying out at least one session at a highly-trained facility prior to renting or purchasing a unit.

If you are like me and can feel a little claustrophobic I highly recommend starting out by going to a facility with well-trained technicians that can guide you through it with care. Choose a chamber that feels spacious and open, not a tight capsule. You should feel calm and safe and be able to see out and communicate easily with your technician.

The chamber itself can be either soft or hard. The hard chambers are able to rise to a higher atmospheric pressure (meaning more oxygen into your cells per minute), so they are typically the go-to for chronic illness and deeper recovery. Soft chambers tend to be used for gentler imbalances and recovery, anti-aging, and health optimization. Both are effective, it just comes down to how intensely and quickly you want to recover, your schedule/location flexibility and your budget.

For potential coverage, speak to your insurance company and see what recommendation you will need from your doctor. A smaller round of HBOT is often covered following any kind of surgery.

My Favorite HBOT Resources

 Stacking HBOT With Other Therapies

I love HBOT on its own, but you’ll see even greater results when you pair it with heat therapy, light therapy, and specific antioxidants and binders to match what you’re addressing in your body.

Herxheimer Reactions

The best way to prevent a healing reaction is to know and respect your body’s limits and to be able to interpret what it’s asking for at each point of the HBOT round.

If you experience extreme exhaustion, hives/rashes, skin eruptions, swelling, brain fog, migraines, sleep disturbances, anxiety, GI or menstrual pain, please slow down or pause completely. This is a sign your body is not properly supported or your detox pathways are not open. HBOT can work for you, but you will need to be fully resourced in order to stabilize and make space for the level of clearance that your body is attempting.

If you have fear around this, I understand. I’ve been there and have avoided many therapies in the past because of my fear of feeling worse. Come see me and we’ll walk you through it safely. My Concierge Reset is structured to navigate these exact situations for you. You never have to walk this alone. Please get the support you need. HBOT will change your body and give you a surge of hope alongside it.

Reminder: Please run everything medical by your preferred licensed provider before proceeding.

An Artist Season in London

London

A place to revive your artistic sensibilities and rebuild your delight in human nature. Now, I know my perspective is an eager one as this was my first exposure to London, but I can be quite particular and it definitely swept me off my feet. This fresh-faced American fell hard and fast.

The Tube

Crammed in close to elegantly suited men with leather briefcases that held a stance of quiet confidence knowing they’ve been around the block and will be there for years to come. Seated across from the posh mad hatter mom and son duo, matching in classic English country prep, effortlessly and successfully mixing paisley and stripes with vibrant easter egg blues, sage greens, sunshine yellows and clean reds. I found myself picturing them in their country English home, perfectly curated and acceptably cluttered with everything an interiors magazine spread desired. One ride included a child climbing and swinging from the ceiling hand holds like a monkey. I don’t know what was more delightful, watching the pure joy of the wild child or the faces of my fellow riders as they attempted to restrain their reactions. Oh the stories I could tell… To add to the magic of it all I underscored every experience by popping in headphones, old school and corded over here of course, and observing with a musical soundtrack. And yes at times I was the odd ball, savoring a song in my own little world, and got to feel eyes on me as the Londoners attempted to shyly and discreetly observe me. A space to see and be seen, a way to connect with raw humanity and touch multiple life stories at once, I couldn’t get enough of this ride.

The Theatre

Not a special occasion, the salt of the earth electrician can be found spending his Tuesday night enraptured by a painfully raw and jolting modern interpretation of a Jacobean revenge tragedy from the 1600s dressed in jeans with a large glass of foaming beer in hand. Londoners take their art seriously, so much so that they have woven it into their everyday. Entry is not barred. For a few bobble one can stand up in the stalls and feel the surge of the orchestra as the ballerina is lifted into a perfect arch and reaches for her lover with a depth of pain that ignites an indescribable ache connecting every human heart in its presence. Everyone deserves to participate. The depth of respect for art runs deep and the career of an artist is understood as rigorous and treated as a cultural necessity. London has mastered the foundational element of creating profound art – devotion to the vibrant exchange between performer and audience, audience and performer. A city that feeds its artists so that its artists can feed it.

The Nature

Peaceful and moody. There are innumerable parks and reservoirs to savor. Rolling acres of urban parks with green lawns, aged and established trees and walkways that encircle for long strolls and the occasional spotted bench for the remaining breed of elder newspapers and emerging Gen Z offline readers. Preserves on the outskirts full of stoic majestic deer, wide expansive views, woodland peckers, and winding mud-thick paths bordered by dense wild shrubs and thicket and even the local country estates that evoke all that Jane Austin wrote. Healthy exposure and respect of the earth is felt in all areas of the city, spaces to breathe and touch growth are prioritized for all and I couldn’t get enough.

The Food

London captured my gastromical heart with Notting Hill’s gourmet organic farm-lux grocers, Primrose’s quiet cozy café corner with a foamy softly bitter matcha and a fresh crisp salad that sang and yet still grounded me at the same time, Islington’s English countryside-sourced raw sheep yogurts and towers of fragrant sharp and buttery cheese rounds, and Stratford’s unforgettable Tom Yum and numerous comforting Thai plates that followed.

The Wellness

The homeopathic apothecaries dating back to the 1700s with formulas packaged in metal tubes and labeled in fonts that give Emily Bronte era. I found beautiful flower essences here and oggled many creams and tonics that I will return to enjoy in the future. The non-toxic Oh My Cream, offering a fully stocked shoppe of clean skincare, all the best beauty, advanced facials, and in-house sauna with an enclosed shower, all wrapped in a peaceful uplifting fresh space, had me floating and planning and messaging all my clients who travel often to London. While there are countless light-filled yoga and pilates studios, I prefer a home practice, so a studio class that I ventured to with a dear friend for sound healing was my only experience. Let’s just say I fell asleep so deeply I woke up wondering where I was, which never happens. The studio creates a heavenly snuggly bliss. Oh and of course the walking. Everything is within strolling distance with the help of the tube! A city you can savor easily and quickly to fill your lungs and your brain with fresh oxygen.

The Favorites

Now for my short list of favorites from this recent stay for your next visit to the city that has it all:
