Weekly Energetic Weather: Feb 23rd - March 1st

Overall Themes

Hold. Your. Nerve. This has been my inner mantra/subconscious statement since the eclipse hit a week ago. We are in a jolting capsule of unpredictable change. What needs to come to an end, will. What needs to begin or start anew, will. A lot of it won’t make logical sense right now, though you may feel the intuitive accuracy in your body. Let it ride. You don’t actually need to DO anything. In fact, I would advise stepping off the gas as much as possible during this time and allowing yourself to cruise through. If a decision requires action, do it, but know that it could go on a journey before it actually lands.

Relationships, career, home, opportunities, trajectories, appetites, health states, government, and more are all available for change right now. This could feel chaotic or just straight up frustrating if you are trying to maintain control or even a semblance of it. There’s no good or bad, right or wrong in this time. It’s about closing your eyes, softening your breath, opening up your hands, and allowing whatever needs to go to go and whatever needs to come to come and holding none of it to merit until the end of March when this season closes. Then we can shake off the dust and look around at where we’ve landed. From here, we will be able to move forward with more confidence and steadiness.

Until this time - HOLD YOUR NERVE. What goes may come back, what comes, may not stay. Let it all play out. Give it time.

Pisces season is about surrender. flow. floating. vision casting. belief. faith. release. love. How can you weave more of this into your approach to life right now? I know. Very very counterintuitive to the growing energy and fiest inside of you thus far this year. Your spirit has come back online, and you want results, you want action, you want movement, but first, you must close out what is still hanging on, reset what is stagnant, and make space to fully embrace what is attempting to enter. This requires patience. Patience right now looks like: learning to allow, and even stoke, our internal fire, our passion and aliveness, while also honoring the purity and potency of our fully realized end desire. The temptations will be high to burst and take some rash action to force a result or just to relieve built-up tension. Don’t let yourself get here. The key is to channel this newfound energy and passion into a creative expression - dance, sing, talk, act, feel, cry, run, swim, row, ski, laugh - move, move, move. Get the energy flowing towards channels that use it well and bless you as a bonus!

I fully understand the battle with internal intensity and lack of healthy expression. I was never taught how to hold my fire in life. I was told to squelch it or at least to hide it, put it away. So I did. I let it die, and anytime it popped its head back up I would press it back down again. I would say that most women receive this same messaging, but there are definitely men who have been told the same. We are guided to be still, to be less. To be chill. To not be too much. And while most of you may be thinking about this in reference to your body or voice, I also think it applies to simple joy and zest for life. Excitement, hope, anticipation, passion, joy, love – these emotions and states are powerful and as a result taught to be dangerous by those who wish to keep us out of the ring. I say - Nope. Turn it back up. Full blast. Be completely ALIVE.

If this terrifies you, at the core, I can say from experience, it’s worth it. The journey of returning to your aliveness, to allowing passion and intensity and joy and love to drive you, will be a bumpy ride at first, but it’s the healthiest and most energetically aligned act you can take for yourself this year. You’re ultimately coming back online. Returning to who God made you to be. It’ll be challenging. It’ll be messy, but all rebirths are. We learn through experience, and experience-gain requires embracing imperfection and loss of control. I can promise you this: if you keep moving forward, you will find your ground again. I can also promise that it’ll take longer than you want, but it’ll be genuinely worth the saga. Hang in there, cause once you find your footing, you’ll learn the ultimate skill required to have a life of impact and influence.

I can safely say it’s one of my biggest life lessons. With potent fire and earth in my makeup, I am here to master the art of stable intensity – the holding of an intense internal burn while moving with steadiness, intentionality, thoughtfulness, and grace. I come from a long line of strong women who had their own struggles with wrangling this balance, so now it’s my turn to attempt, and I’m determined to take it as far as I can go in my lifetime.

Do you feel this tension between aliveness, passion, and action, and the call to hold steady, to surrender and to flow with grace? It’s a beast of a challenge we are being called into this week, but I know you can do it. Roll this over and over in your mind: Hold. Your. Nerve. Something beautiful is building within this fog.

Moon Schedule

As a little reminder. We care about the energy of the moon because it directly impacts our bodies. The pull of the moon’s magnetic field on the water of our earth and in our bodies (we are 65% water) shifts how our cells communicate to each other, which affects organ function, which affects our energy and hormone expression, which affects our perspective and nervous system response for the day... We feel and live out the influence of the moon, whether we want to acknowledge it or not. The “personality” of the moon, plays into how and where it hits us. It’s both woo woo and yet not. Lean into it and see what holds true for you over time.

February 23rd ~ Moon Enters Gemini

Talk, talk, talk. Let it out. Gemini rules the speech centers of the brain, your lungs, breath, shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands. I have a lot of Gemini in my mapping so I’m laughing bc I’m picturing me talking and wildly demonstrating everything with my arms and hands. This is the energy under this moon. Talk it out. Breathe it out. Move it out. This is not the time to stay quiet or hold your tongue or cocoon. Get social. Your body needs you to express to stay healthy right now! If you feel a sore throat come on while doing this, it’s a sign your body has lots to clear and needs some love. Gargle sea-salted water 2 x daily, drink my immune tonic (email me), keep your throat and back of neck warm, and get extra hours of sleep!

February 25th - Moon Enters Cancer & Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

Cancer is the ultimate nurturing energy, so spend these days giving your body extra nutrients - really focus on eating hardy vitamin and mineral-rich foods. This is a lovely time to get a gentle massage or lymphatic treatment or to start adding in smaller and gentler at-home practices. I love the chi swing, heel tapping (literally just lift your heels and let them land over and over again) 100x each morning, theracane neck work, and lymph zone patting (10 hardy pats on R and L side of traps, wrists, inner elbow, armpit, just below hips, behind knees and in foot arch).

Mercury retrograde is not something to be feared, just noted. Where is Pisces in your birth chart? Use the whole house system to see which house is ruled by the energy of Pisces and then chat gpt the themes of this house to see what areas of your life may have some hiccups until March 30th. Pisces rules the water in the body - especially intercellular, so the lymphatic recommendations above are helpful everyday supports, as well as consuming higher doses of potassium and magnesium.

Extra Note: around February 27th you may feel an enhanced restlessness and will need to really be active and channel your passion or else this may be the day you explode… you may also notice this same energy in the humans around you, so take care of yourself, be safe.

February 28th - Moon Enters Leo

The HEART. Circulation, blood flow, brain clarity, energy are all impacted by the strength of the heart. If you have a healthy rhythm and flow, you’ll feel good under this moon. If not, symptoms - messages from the body - will arise! Notice if your skin or face is more red or you’re short of breath, or your feet and hands are cold… all requests for help! One of the easiest and best ways to support your heart is through getting your B vitamins in – all of them. Your B levels need to be replenished daily since they are water-soluble. Supplement AND eat foods rich in them: bee bread or royal jelly, grass-fed/finished beef/bison/elk, seafood, and dark green lettuces are a good start. For quality B-vitamin supplements, choose yeast-free brands, like Thorne. As you all know, I am a supplement savant, so feel free to stop by for guidance as needed.

Heads Up: March 1st we start feeling the intense energy of the Virgo Full Moon and Solar Eclipse hitting on March 3rd that will close out this eclipse season that we started last week with the Full Moon in Pisces. Check out your Virgo and Pisces placements for this impact or schedule time with me to review it all together. This is a big moment.

Recipe: Fennel Frisée Winter Salade

Fresh organic frisee, nappa cabbage and radicchio salad

Ingredients

  • Fennel Bulbs

  • Ghee

  • Juicy Sun Dried Raisin

  • Walnut Halves

  • Meyer Lemon

  • Fresh Frisée

  • Napa Cabbage

  • Radicchio

  • Parmesan Reggiano

  • Entree Additions:

    • Canadian Ham / i like Niman Ranch

    • Prosciutto, diced or torn

Instructions

Warm a tablespoon of ghee in a dutch oven or saute pan. Clean and slice your fennel bulbs and add. Toss gently in melted ghee and allow to cook until soft. Juice 1/2 a meyer lemon, save the skin, and add along with a handful of raisins and walnuts. I like to press the walnuts with the side of my chef knife to “wake them” up a bit before adding. Toss lightly in the warmth. Turn off the heat and let sit.

Slice your cabbage and radicchio into thin strips and then chop smaller for easy bites, chop your frisee as well. Add as much of each as you desire to your serving bowl. Scoop a large helping of the fennel batch on top and gently mix. Shave a large amount of parmesian over the whole plate and then using a microplane gently grate the lemon skin over the top, just enough to add some color and healthy gut love.

To dress you can freehand this or pre-mix: Olive oil, juice of meyer lemon, sour cream and sea salt. Play with it and adjust to your preference. If dressings make you nervous, combine in a separate container, whisk and add a little more of whatever is needed, slowly, to find your preferred ending, then add to salad.

If you’d desire to make this heartier or to use as an entree, then add a salted heritage pork in the form of sliced Canadian ham or prosciutto; it’s lovely!

Overall Themes

Okay! How are we all doing!? This week is deeply personal, so your journey will be a unique one, but I can say that the energy is BIG and your rewrite, a dynamic change, is here.

If you are not sleeping well or find yourself feeling very buzzy that is probably because you have a lot of fire and cardinal signs in your chart and are launching into a powerful reactivation season. If you feel relief or perhaps even a heaviness and a deep need to sleep and cocoon, you probably have water and air or mutable signs and have just completed a potent energetic journey.  If like me, you have all the above, it’ll be a fun mixed bag. Hang in there!

Take time this week to tune in to you. Try to stay off socials and let yourself fall into the rhythm of your voice, body, and heart. It’s technically one of the most activating weeks of the year (really these next few weeks are) so that means it’s the best time to tune everyone else out and dive deep into your soul. Moving forward deeply connected to your spirit and to God over the next 2-3 weeks will have an immense impact on your future.  Take heart and get focused.

If you haven’t already experienced your new world yet, just wait until the end of the week. For some of us, it’s an external shift and for others very internal. The general vibe is release. A release of our old selves and through this process a refreshing relief from overcaring what others think, want, need and require of us. No longer will you be tethered and held back by fear of disappointing others or being made the villain.

I couldn’t be more ready for this change. I’ve always cared far too much about how others, yes, even you, perceive me. This energy of openness and freedom, letting go of stories we’ve been gripping for so long, ideas of who we were are shedding and falling away – it’s exciting. A bit nuts and quite a surprising ride, but it’ll all be worth it for the landing.

This is the time to embody your desired self-expression. Move forward. I’ve been feeling pulls all through-out the layers of my life, from simple internal nudges to change the aroma of my body lotion all the way to the other end of the spectrum of stepping into life-altering career contracts. Life is OPEN right now. Take the chance. Move consciously and strategically, but definitely do it. Cross the bridge, get to know your new terrain, find the path, and walk it. We have an adventure ahead of us.

February 17th - New Moon in Aquarius at 4 AM, Solar Eclipse at 4:13 AM & then Moon Enters Pisces at 6:09 AM PST

Happy lunar NEW Year! This is a beautiful day to cherish your body and speak loving, grateful and joyful words over every inch of it! Thank God for all the healing that has taken place, all the healing that is occurring now, and all the healing that will transpire in the future. Spend time in the sunshine or at least let in the sunlight through open blinds if you’re in a rainstorm like me this week. Wear colors that bring you joy, eat food that makes your mouth water and body sing and watch or listen to art that opens your mind and expands your spirit. Let everything roll off your back today. Forgive and release and invite in new possibilities. It’s a truly new year and a fresh beginning.

February 19th - Moon Enters Aries

Aries is all about the mind, the head, the eyes. How can you relieve the thought weight, the neck tension, the light intensity? I love muscle/tendon softening balms like this one on Aries moon nights. Gently massage it in right before bed for a deeper sleep and headache/migraine prevention. Aries energy needs release, so get in some good movement over these days too - power walking, running, kick boxing, dancing. Let it OUT. Magnesium body or foot baths can also be deeply supportive this week. Use magnesium flakes: 1 cup for foot baths and 2-3 cups for full baths.

February 21st - Moon Enters Taurus

Oh steady Taurus, you ground us after a knarly week! Thank you! If you start to feel stiff under this moon, weave in some warm gentle yoga stretches, sauna, and hot showers to soften the fascia, muscles and overall circulation. Support your thyroid with raw or fresh seafood and please, please, please speak honestly. If you can’t say what you need to say in the moment, say it out loud alone somewhere safe. Get it out. Do not suppress your words under this moon. Gentle light finger tapping all over your chest and throat can also be beautifully healing at this time to awaken and soften.

Weekly Energetic Weather: Feb 9th-15th

Overall Themes

So I’ve been trying to write this letter all day. It’s been stuck inside me as a feeling that can’t seem to be captured fully by words, quite yet, but here I am at 9 PM attempting to map it for you. I hope it comes through. Whenever there’s a feeling of being blocked or a sense of my spirit avoiding or dancing around something instead of diving in, it means I’m sensing a powerful and potent change afoot. Fears, apprehension, simple nervousness, or just concern over the unknown elements of what’s coming can hold me up. And that’s exactly what’s going on this week.

We are at the edge. We are looking over it, and a bridge is about to materialize on Thursday, but we have no idea what the other side of the canyon holds. There’s no going back, as the world behind us is disintegrating as we speak. It’s only forward. From concept to embodiment, the courage we’ve been stepping into will now need to be fully activated and put into sport go-mode.

The word revolution can be highly activating in these times, but ironically, it’s the very vibe of the energetic moment. We have a choice. We can embrace the movement and hold an openness to what unfolds or we can shut down and become deeply guarded, scared, and reactive. These new lands are both inner and outer. Your internal world is going to be renewed, if you allow it, and our culture and humanity as a whole is going to feel and express in a freshly innovative and challengingly aggressive way. There will be pros and cons, as with all human action.

I feel called to embrace it all - the good and bad - and with bravery allow myself to move with intention across the personal bridge laid before me this week. How about you?

I was cracked open these last 3 years and forced to release just about everything I thought was my forever. Surrender was no longer a cute concept or spiritualized saying. It was my brutal, gritty, heart-wrenching reality that I re-chose every hour of the day until it slowly became an integrated part of me. I know I’m not the only one who has walked an intense path these last 3 years. 2023 launched a catalytic movement that prepared many of us for this very moment.

I have been rewatching Harry Potter with my sister, and a scene with a phoenix caught my attention. The phoenix turned to ash and in that moment, as corny as this may sound, it hit me extra hard. This was me. I had to burn. My life had to burn. A new era calls for a new phoenix.

Not everyone is here to walk a full-fledged phoenix path (honestly, don’t wish this upon anyone), but I believe we all possess phoenix areas of our lives. And we’ve watched these parts of us burn. Over the last 6 months, slowly, ever so slowly, behind the scenes, a rebirth has been occurring here. We may still feel tender, not ready to fly with our new wings, but that’s exactly what this next 3 years will be all about. The baby phoenix must mature and become a full-fledged radiant mature phoenix, to literally use its new body, to soar, and to heal. Oh, because yes, if you didn’t know, the Phoenix is a healer. Healing through its tears, of course, because healing comes from the embodied understanding of pain, loss, and challenge. Embodied empathy, as the energy of the last week taught us. It’s all woven together. Our pain has purpose. It is not just here to wreck us. It is here to revolutionize us into a rebirth. Your maturing adventure awaits. The world is ready.

How will you step into your phoenix energy this week? What bridge is materializing in front of you? Cross to the other side. See what’s in store for you.

Moon Schedule

February 9th - Moon Enters Sagittarius

Focus on your breath under this moon. Notice when you’re holding it. Let it out slowly and fully. Breath is life. You need lots of life in your bones this week. My classic favorite practice is to count to 7. For counts 1-3, inhale slowly. Pause at the top and then slowly exhale for counts 4-7. Picture your breath climbing up and then down a ladder and or going around a circle. Repeat this until you feel fully in your body, then let yourself smile as big as possible till you feel very silly and can’t help but let out a chuckle ;).

February 12th - Moon Enters Capricorn

Capricorn energy is so beautiful for creating structure in your life, and as we know the body is a structural element, so bringing attention here under this moon will only enhance effectiveness. Build a rhythm for your body. If you thrive on consistency, create repeatable body-based habits, like waking up and eating at the same time every day. If you succeed with freedom and variety, then build out a toolkit of resources that you can select from each day, like a treasure box. Pick a form of movement that sounds fun, a balanced meal that marries your feelings, and a subconscious statement that matches your needed mental uplift. Use these rhythms to weave nourishing food, energizing or calming movement, and healing mental practices into your everyday.

February 14th - Moon Enters Aquarius

An interesting energy for valentines day, may not feel as romantic as you might hope - heads up here. Let your heart feel a bit quirky today. As for your body, it wants lots of oxygen and needs it under this moon. A beautiful time to bring in oxygenating foods and tools. I looooove ozone for this if you have access to an at-home machine or a local hyperbaric chamber. Supporting foods that keep oxygen moving in the body can also be lovely. Think iron-rich (greens, red meats, seafood) and antioxidant-full foods (green tea, vibrant colored fruits and vegetables). And of course, lots of full breaths throughout the day. A great time to enjoy breathwork classes.

Your astrological map is a powerful tool to understand sources of chronic symptoms, health blocks, your body’s vulnerabilities and strengths, and the best preventative measures to stay strong, youthful, vibrant, and dis-ease free.
