Overall Themes
This week is gonna feel feisty and spicy. Starting tomorrow the provocateurs of the world will be activated and all of us will feel the heat. This is both beautiful and hard. The upside? Growth and revelation can come from being poked and prodded. I experienced this last week. I often encounter the energy of the coming week right before; it’s like my being is prepping. Both my physical and emotional boundaries were tested by two new-to-me humans and I had a big wake-up call. I thought I knew my lines, my boundaries, but I was shown the weakness of their hold. In theory, I knew what to do, but when the moment hit, I found myself fully bulldozed. I was shocked and frozen on the other side. It had been a while since this had happened to me and I thought I was “beyond it”, but now in hindsight, I can see I needed these lessons.
I spent this last weekend recovering by coming back into myself and focusing on rebuilding my energy and reconnecting to my voice, my purpose, and my values. Clarifying who is allowed access to me and who is not, and how to navigate the hazy in-between. The process was exhausting and uncomfortable, but the outcome was worth it because it brought forward quite a few big breakthroughs around my past and confirmed the need for deeper support.
The present is always a reflection of what is undone and lingering from the past… I was provoked, but it gave me a sharp reminder that activated the courage needed to protect my sacred energy. Priceless.
You may have a similar journey this week. The catalyzation of your soul can come from a simple irritating experience or one that completely flattens you. Either way, if it comes, take a breath and recognize that this is part of the energetic weather of the moment and it is an invitation to process what is lingering inside you. Since we are solidly in cancer season, let your emotional landscape be your place of dance, not your mind. In other words, try to feel instead of intellectualizing the full range of emotions around the moment or situation. Let it all come out in a safe place.
You may also be tempted to feel the full range of the provocateur’s emotions. Let that part go. You are only responsible for your own experience. No people pleasing, managing, fixing or merging this week. Focus on what this brings up in you and keep your energy here.
As we discussed last week, Cancer rules the family and, more importantly, your original (read parental and sibling) attachment wounds, sooooo you can guess where all this may show up. Yep, book that therapy session now. Pull out the flower essences and be gentle on your body. You may notice difficulty digesting this week. This is a fiery and tender week, not an ideal combo, but hopefully with this insight, you can float above others’ treatment and focus your attention on diving into the juicy data it gives you about yourself and your core blocks. If used strategically, this week could lead to powerful releases and the clearance of deeply engrained patterns that have kept you stuck for most of your life. May Divine wisdom guide you, and gentleness lead you as you courageously face your most painful hurts and shift your entire future in one week. It’s a profound time. Use it, my friends.
Moon Schedule
Watch your body. Observe and note how it reveals what you need to address or resolve as the moon moves through the zones of your body. The moonlight is spotlighting your body and focusing attention. Whatever energy the moon is dancing in will highlight that same energy in the body. You will see either a rise in radiance or an unveiling of imbalance in the zones of the body connected to the earth’s current energy. It’s a free litmus test. If this sounds woo-woo, remember it’s just because you weren’t taught this in depth in school, but we are discussing physics here. Everything on the earth and in the solar system around the earth emits energy/magnetism. This energy/magnetism activates your body at a cellular level. The system of astrology is simply an ancient way of understanding how all this impacts us. An archaic language is used that can, until you are familiar with it, feel foreign and even mystical, but it’s simply labeling and categorizing action and effect, like any other system you’re more accustomed to understanding. July 1st - Moves Into Libra:
Ah Libra, the ruler of the kidneys, adrenals, and ovaries. The queen of homeostasis and balance. The moon will be highlighting your ability to maintain balance by reviewing your detox, energy, stress management, and hormonal status. Get your water in, but don’t forget your minerals. Magnesium, potassium, and sodium are necessary for both hydration and healthy adrenal function. If you notice hormonal fluctuations over these three days, consider looking into the health and vitality of your ovaries with your favorite practitioner. Your body will be obsessed with creating balance, which may create tension if you’re experiencing the emotional waves of this week’s provocative Cancerian twist. My best advice, slow down and open up your days, cultivate space for your body to feel and express and clear.
July 4th - Moon Moves Into Scorpio:
Scorpio rules the colon, and here we may notice dryness or holding that leads to constipation and then bloating or pain. This is a natural result of feeling unsafe as you face old wounds or experience cortisol shocks from possible encounters… stay hydrated and gently massage your abdomen nightly. A little trick if you can’t seem to clear your stool is to skin an orange or lemon and chew and swallow a small piece. Think smaller than a dime. This not a time for rectal contraction, let your sweet cheeks soften and your anus relax. I love baths and yoga for this.
July 6th - Moon Moves Into Sagittarius:
Lung expansion and breath. Lean into heart openers in your yoga practice. Roll the shoulders back and open up the ribcage. Breathe deeply, all the way down to your pelvic floor. Go on walks under the bright blue summer sky and inhale fully. Feel the grief and let it out with sobs, words or strong exhales. If you wake up at 4 AM during these nights, it’s a sign you are moving through alot of deep sadness and or needing more oxygen to flow through the lungs - support both by placing a hand over your heart telling yourself in a soft voice “I love you. It’s good to feel this. You’re home, You’re safe.” and focusing on your breath until you return to sleep. It’s a part of your healing process. The wake-ups will pass when the moon shifts.
